a wonderful cazuelaThis is a very large, gorgeous cazuela. I am hoping to serve my family and friends lots of golden arroz con pollo in this vessel, and am also looking forward to trying lots of different recipes in it. With all my new equipment, cooking is becoming a joy again! If anyone has any favorite dishes made in a cazuela I would love to hear of them(-;Also, I have to thank the Tienda folks for great customer service. My first cazuela arrived broken. I called Tienda customer service and they sent out a new one immediately, which arrived in perfect condition! Thank you again La Tienda!
Great CazuelaNicely made. Shipment was fast. There were no curing instructions in the box & had to look up on internet, but it all worked out. This is a great dish - especially to make Anne Burrell's garlic chicken with couscous!
Gift for my GodsonHe wanted one for Christmas and loves it. Perfect size and works as well on the stovetop as it does in the oven.
Like everyone said+it bakes, too!This is every bit as nice on the table as people said. I have baked a couple of casseroles in it now, and can report that it did a bang up job and cleaned up like a champ!
Fantastic cooking and serving wareWhile on a road trip some years ago, I bought a number of Mason Cash items in a Mennonite grocery in Kalona, Iowa: 2 of the 5.5 inch bakers, 2 of the 7 inch bakers, and the small rectangular one. I haven't actually baked in them as I use them for servingware instead, but I LOVE them. They're pleasing to hold, pretty to look at, and elegant in their simplicity. I keep looking for more of them but no one in Colorado carries them that I can find. The 5.5 inch ones are perfect for soup and cereal, and the larger ones are great for serving pasta and sauce. The rectangular one I use for a vegetable dish. I plan to get more -- they're wonderful.
BJMason Cash is a good brand, but I noticed it's not made in England anymore. That's a little disappointing.
purple reigns!i am not a fan of the color purple. but this casserole dish could make me change my position. i have used it quite a bit since i opened it christmas day to bake macaroni and cheese and other casseroles. it keeps heat beautifully and looks really good on a table with other buffet items. not only that, it stores food quite nicely in the refrigerator if you have leftovers.
Perfect!This casserole is perfect! We used it to make several rounds of mac n' cheese, traditional casseroles, and most recently- our Christmas roast. The glaze is wonderfully non-stick and clean up was easy. The biggest job we used this for was the roast- the casserole fit 3 rough chopped stalks of celery, 1 large onion, 6 potatoes, a 3.5 lb pork roast, and several handfuls of baby carrots. The lid fits well and sealed it perfectly, trapping the steam and sealing in flavor. Once the meat was removed, the stonewear retained heat well and went right onto the table (with a pot holder underneath it) and doubled as a serving piece.While the size and shape can make it a little awkward to store, this is more of a very minor inconvenience than anything else. The weight and heft of the piece mean business, and the unglazed bottom will scratch surfaces if you are not careful and mindful of what you are doing. All in all a great piece and one that I plan to use quite often. In fact, for tonight I'll be using it to roast a chicken. Great piece of cookware and wonderfully handy to have around.
Love casserole dishes!Well, first off, I love casserole dishes. This one is cute and stylish and it's a nice size. I also like that it goes well with my Fiestaware dishes. I like colors in the kitchen. It's easy to clean and functional. What's not to love?
Dinner-Bake ware by BunzlauerTop of the line. I will never regret ordering this. I bake something in the dish several times a week. It is a perfect "baker" right from the overn to the table--looks GREAT, highly chip-resistent (none to date) and is heavy, smooth, and gorgeous! A great bonus at this price. Wish I'd gotten the whole set.
beautiful and functionalI bought this for my mom for Christmas. She loves polish pottery, and was not disappointed by this piece. The only thing that I would say is that the picture provided is a little deceiving (it looks very circular in the picture) because the dish is much more oblong than the picture shows. It's great for casseroles or side dishes, and I received it very quickly!
The lid won't connect to the panAs a loaf pan, it works. As a loaf pan with lid, it doesn't come close. I've been fighting with this lid through many banana bread recipes, and it fails every time. I push on the corners as hard as possible and it doesn't connect, not even for a split second. Look elsewhere if you were really counting on using the lid.
Lid does not fitLoaf pan is fine, but lid does not "snap shut". Better off with a different product if closing the lid is important to you.
Great Glass Loaf PanThere are times when you just need a glass loaf pan - for that special dessert, salad, etc. I really liked the size and quality of this item and the plastic storage lid is a plus as well. Great Product.
The description is not accurate!As Alex noted in his one-star review, these are INDIVIDUAL sized Bakers, certainly NOT the size shown in the description of the product (16 x 18 x 1.8 inches). The actual inside measurements are 7 inches long, 4.5 inches wide, and 1.6 inches deep. Filled to the rim, they hold 2 cups.A greater mystery to me is why the BLUE bakers cost 35% more than the BURGUNDY bakers of the same exact size. Is this discrimination on the basis of COLOR?
Perfect size for individual servings.I use these for quiche, cake, custard and a variety of other things so that I can have portion control. Nothing sticks, and they are so easy to clean. The longer I use these, the more things I think of to cook in them.
Looks Unclean!The thing I hate about this product is that even after you clean them up they still look dirty. I had company over and when I pulled them out to make individual casseroles it was embarrassing. I re-washed them and I still couldn't get the spots out, the silicone makes them look unclean. I would of preferred to spend my money on glass ones rather than silicone. This was the first time I used this type of product and it will be my last.
Nice!I bought this to go with the Sorrento dish set. It matches the pattern and color exactly. One thing to note, however, the iron rack shown in the picture is not included with the dish.
nice and deep casserole panI bought the dish only, hoping to replace one I bought from Costco that was broken during a move. It does not fit in the iron holder. Still, this is a great dish, deep and heavy! and I use it often.
Bigger than statedMy wife will be disappointed. It is a nice dish, but she specifically asked for a 9X13 dish, and I ordered it because it was listed as that size. It is larger in both dimensions.
Great PanMy daughter was born on Valentines Day so the heart shaped cakes I baked for her last month were a big hit. The pan worked fine. The only fault I found was my difficulty fitting the bottom back into the form. But this is my fault not the pans. The non-stick feature worked well. Since nothing much sticks it is easy to clean. Its a keeper.
