This square baker is perfect for roasting vegetables, a game hen or baking your favorite casserole. Use this versatile piece for serving pasta or baking a hearty apple crisp. The Square Baker is also available in Small 7 by 7-1 quart and Medium 8-1/2 by 8-1/2-1-3/4-quart sizes. The Quartet look is based on a dish towel that was popular in the Berry region of France at the turn of the last century; the design has a pleasing rumpled look. The rustic lines of this 100 year old pattern are maintained in Pillivuyt's Quartet collection which includes plates in five sizes, rimmed and un-rimmed bowls in four sizes, platters in three sizes, roasters in three sizes and many other pieces. The walls of these dishes, as in all Pillivuyt items, are created with a perfectly uniform thickness for exceptionally even and efficient heat conduction.
