Description

Deeper than the standard baking dish, this rectangular stoneware baker from Le Creuset handily keeps your lasagna or apple cobbler from bubbling over. This one measuring 8-1/2 by 10-3/4 inches and holding 2-1/4 quarts is the middle size of three bakers that conveniently nest for compact storage. The dish goes from refrigerator or freezer to microwave or oven to serving at the table with the aid of wide end rims, and can even be used under the broiler. Just avoid stovetop use. Le Creuset's stoneware is extremely high-fired for the ultimate in strength, then coated with hard, nonporous enamel that resists scratching, chipping, staining, odor absorption, and cracking. The exterior comes in a choice of several bright, modern colors, while the interior stays neutral in tone to better showcase its contents. Rounded corners and the smooth enamel coating mean food particles tend not to stick, making cleaning by hand or in the dishwasher a snap. Enjoy choosing coordinating colors for your Le Creuset baking pans, pie dishes, French ovens, and more, and relax knowing each is covered by a lifetime warranty against defects. --Ann Bieri

5 out of 5 stars Le Creuset stoneware is terrific stuff

I own over a dozen different pieces of the stoneware; it is a great product for the money. A lot less money than Emile Henry. Yes it is made in Thailand but I think Le Crueset has done a good job in keeping the quality up to their standards. They need to make an 8" x 8" square pan; the 9" x 9" is very good however some recipes need the 8" square.

5 out of 5 stars Love It!

My husband and I received this as a Christmas gift a couple of years ago, and it's our first Le Creuset piece. We use it fairly often and it still looks brand new, is very easy to clean and ended up being an unexpected favorite addition for our cooking endeavors. I've been a fan of stoneware for a long time, but this is my first glazed piece. I'm used to "seasoning" my stoneware over time, so this is a nice change for certain dishes.
