Description
Put the serving bowls back in the cupboard and scoop salsa, dip, taco toppings, or fried ice cream into fun-and edible!-tostada shells. Keilen's set of two Mexican Fiesta tostada bakers make it easy to prepare and serve these yummy treats. Crafted from black carbon steel, the 8.75-inch forms offer quick, even heating and superior temperature retention to eliminate hot spots or soggy, undercooked patches. The contoured sides create a classic fluted shape with excellent definition, and the Xylan nonstick coating lets shells slide right out and makes cleanup a snap. A perfect size for party-size portions or large servings, these bakers also come in a smaller 6-1/2-inch version for petite jobs. --Kara Karll

This baking pan is perfect for Taco salad bowls using the tortilla to make the edible bowl. I have the 6" pans but they are too small. For a large salad, this pan is ideal. Love them.

These bakers are just what I was looking for and couldn't find locally. Even though they were out-of-stock when I placed my order, I received notification that they had come in sooner than expected. I was pleased I didn't have to wait too long. If I had, it would have been worth the wait. What I particularly like about these bakers is the large size. This adds to their versatility. You can use average sized tortillas if you want a small taco bowl (note: they'll fill less than half way), but you have the option to go large with a burrito size tortilla for a show-stopper, main meal. You can also use the bakers for ordinary salads, guacamole, dips, or to set out other dinner, or party snacks. With a little imagination, these are multipurpose. It's super easy to remove the baked taco shell. It will just slide right out, or you can gently pick it out with tongs after a brief cool down. Then the baker is super easy to clean with a small amount of dish soap. They really are slick and non-stick.And, lastly, I can see kids enjoying making their own taco bowl. This might even make them a little less resistant to eating those healthy salad fixings. It's a family, win-win, at an affordable price, too.
