Customer Reviews

5 out of 5 stars Outdated photo and description - actual product is fine!
K. Duell

I can see why the other reviewers were disappointed as the picture and description here clearly show a pyrex insert. However, on the Wilton Armetale website, this is not there. And when I bought mine at BB&B, there was no insert either. The baker is meant to be used as is and works great! Like with a pyrex, you must of course grease the pan but that is it. I love that I can put my recipe directly into this, bake in the over, and then serve. No need to transfer to a nicer looking serving dish and dirty two items. I also like that it holds heat well and keeps the dish warm for seconds (conversely, for cold dishes it keeps them chilled when put into fridge). I have several of these pieces and love them all!

2 out of 5 stars DO NOT BUY-NO PYREX GLASS!!!

I can not rate the actual Wilton metal baker because I haven't used it yet but you may want to pick another item to purchase. The Pyrex glass insert does not come included in the box. I received my first one with no Pyrex insert, returned it and waited for the replacement just to receive another Wilton baker with no glass insert! It has been a hassle and Amazon said this is a widespread problem. It still hasn't been resolved and it's been a month!! I don't see why the glass insert can't just be shipped out alone!

2 out of 5 stars ...missing the Pyrex dish

I'm really glad that it occurred to the customer from Delaware to warn other people that the Pyrex dish is missing, because it is really frustrating and disappointing, and I'd hate to see it continue to happen to other folks. My experience was pretty much identical to theirs, and they are right - it's no good to bake in without the glass dish (and that's a lot of money for something that looks good but you can't use!) After the second shipment arrived with no dish, I went out and got my own because I really like the metal baker and was determined to make it work. I've contacted Amazon.com several times to let them know the problem, but it's been nearly two months and no resolution. They only offer to take it as a return, but as I keep telling them, I don't want to return it, and especially not now that I've gone out and gotten the Pyrex dish! Mostly I just don't want to see it continue to happen to other people, so do be warned. Thanks, Delaware, for the heads-up.
