I bought one of these a few years ago and have not regretted it once. I thought it was an impulse buy, but I use this thing all the time. It keeps hot food hot or cold food cold. It travels great without any spills. I've had more people comment on it and want to know where I got it. It's hard to find in the store, so I was happy to find it on Amazon so I could buy it as gifts for friends.
A must-have for potluckslainibug
If you cook main dishes to take places, this is a must-have. The Pyrex casserole and lid are the same as the ones you can buy separately or with other collections: a great oven-to-table-to-fridge piece with no need for foil because of the sealing lid. The hot pack and insulated cover really keep things hot to take with you (still steamy at least 40 minutes out of the oven), and are convenient so you don't have to worry about spills or burns. Simply microwave the hot pack, slip it into its pocket, pop the lid on the casserole and pack it straight from the oven. The handle makes the carrier easy to carry. There is room to pack a serving spoon, etc. There's a place for an ice pack if you're taking something chilled instead, but one is not included.
