Weird color, cute casserolec'est moi
I've got just about every Le Creuset color in existence, so why not try out kiwi? It's an oddball color, I think, but this little casserole is soooo cute. I used my petite casseroles recently for serving French onion soup & it's an excellent individual serving size for this. Keeps the soup warm and I was able to put them all in the oven to broil momentarily for the Swiss cheese & slice of French bread on top. It's rather expensive for the size, though, so it gets knocked down one star for price.

Bought these as a gift to complement the large Dutch oven sized Le Creuset pot of the same color. They are well-made, though it's important to note they're stoneware and not made of metal like the big pots. They are small--perfect for an individual mac and cheese, potatoes au gratin, or a souffle. Our next plan is to use them for French Onion Soup. As other reviewers noted, they are not made in France as other Le Creuset pots. I think their quality is just fine, however.

Le Creuset's Petite Casserole is attractive, colorful and functional. We couldn't be more pleased.When we saw these little crocks, we bought one in cobalt blue as a unique novelity gift for my mother. These little pots are nicely reflective of the kitchenware my mother so loves. She liked it so much that we bought one for ourselves in kiwi.It turned out to be a perfect way for us to keep our salt on the counter with an attractive, splash of color. The crock is small enough to be conveniently placed on the counter without adding clutter. I was no fan of the most common salt pigs as I would prefer to keep my salt under cover. This little casserole made that all possible.We love this stoneware item and use is daily.
